Welcome to Part 2 of 8 in our WQH mini-series. If you missed Part 1, you can catch up here.
(WQH is a shorthand for Wholistic Quantum Healer™. We'll add it to the subject of all blogs in this series for your benefit.)
In my first blog post, I shared something important. Something worth repeating:
To heal ourselves and others, we do not need to become anything other than what we already are. We do not need to learn anything other than what we already know. We simply need to awaken our inner healer.
Our very cells vibrate with the timeless wisdom of quantum healing. But wisdom without learning, applying, and mastering new information is unbalanced. And there is always something to learn.
Your body is a powerful instrument with unlimited potential for natural healing. But no instrument can resonate in perfect harmony with the whole unless precisely tuned.
In our culture of quick-fixes and simple solutions, it’s easier to reach for an outside “cure” than commit to understanding, tuning, and mastering our own healing instruments.
This extract from my book, Wholistic Wisdom: Awakening Your Inner Healer (a core piece of the Wholistic Quantum Healer™ curriculum) explains the difference:
“An important distinction I like to make with my clients is the difference between cure and healing. While everyone wants a cure, because it’s final, our focus should be on healing, because it’s ongoing…
The old paradigm was: ‘Here is my symptom. Give me a pill or treatment to cure it.’ In this scenario, the person is giving their responsibility away to an external object or person—the practitioner. A new paradigm is emerging that puts the power back into the hands of the patient, who is empowered to take charge and ask, ‘This is my symptom. What can I do to support my body to heal?’
…what we put in our mouths affects our body. What we put on our skin, how we interact with others, and how we connect with our spiritual self also plays a big part… our body is a sacred temple that must be maintained with care and respect.”
The journey to healing begins with the body.
This may seem counterintuitive.
Especially if we accept that all physical illness is rooted in emotional, mental, and spiritual dis-ease.
Body, mind, and soul are interconnected. Working with that level of the dis-ease is important.
But until we become absolutely clear and in tune with our physical body, we cannot truly heal the mind and the soul.
For many, this first step is a hurdle that makes the pharmaceutical “cure” more tempting than ever.
Healing takes courage and commitment. Once you’ve experienced the sublime symphony, however, it’s easier to keep showing up to practice…
Gloria suffered from cystic acne with painful bumps on her face, neck and back. Her big wake-up call had happened in a dermatologist’s office.
All three walls from floor to ceiling were covered with diplomas and he told her that to treat her condition he would prescribe three medications: Accutane (an acne medication with horrific side-effects), birth control, and antibiotics.
She left thinking, “This doesn’t sound right,” and finally booked her appointment with me.
In her mid - late 40s by the time we met, she told me it had taken her three to get here. Three years of knowing about me, yet avoiding me. Later on she said it’s because she knew she would have to make massive changes in her life and she knew she wasn’t ready for it.
Her usual positive self, she came in for her session not knowing what to expect, but completely open to the possibilities.
I said, “There’s going to be two parts to your appointment with me…
Part 1: I’m going to test everything in your physical system to see where it’s all coming from. I’ll be testing different organ systems. See what is happening in your gut, GI tract. Testing you for different foods. Seeing if your diet is contributing to your symptoms.
Part 2: We’ll proceed with energy work…” (When we got to this part of the appointment, her body guided us to an unexpected revelation. Crucial, but complex, so I’ll save it for my next email.)
The first part, however, was simple and straightforward. I discovered some specific things. She had an overgrowth of candida. Her liver was congested. She had a sensitivity to dairy, gluten, and sugar.
Information without action is only half-way there, so Gloria had to commit to some changes...
As a result of her commitment to herself, not only did Gloria’s skin start improving, but she also lost over 30 lbs, began sleeping through the night, and can now run 5kms!
Her change in diet had an impact on her (pre-diabetic) husband, too. He lost over 20lbs and his glucose numbers drastically dropped. In fact, it translated into benefits for her whole family.
Months later, she told me, “Elena, I realized that I am worthy of the best. And why should I eat things that harm me?”
This was how I knew that Gloria’s body, mind, and soul had begun to harmonize in healing melody.
As Wholistic Quantum Healers™ our job is a small part of the change. We provide the blueprint. But it’s up to each of us to make the self-empowering shifts that contribute to our healing.
We can all awaken the healer inside. But we have to be ready to do the work:
“The treatments themselves do not 'cure' the condition, they simply restore the body's self-healing ability.” ~Leon Chaitow
Next week, we’ll dive into energy healing: where it comes from, what it is, and how it manifests.
Until then...
Wellness Wishes,
Elena
P.S. One of the things I’ve realized through my years of work is that most people don’t slow down to feel.
So, it’s a profound moment in a healing session when you are able to remind someone that they hold the key and the power to finally feel and set themselves free.
All emotions are energy. All energy seeks is expression. More insight to come!
